When Kelsie Noble opened her boutique at its new location, friends and regular shoppers were quick to comment.
“People have said ‘Kelsie, this is so much more you’ and I love that compliment,” she said. “And I think it’s just because it’s homier. I don’t know if it’s because of the separate rooms or the ceilings are a little lower, but I love that they get that vibe. … It feels more boutique-y and I totally love that vibe.”
Noble moved her women’s clothing store, Pink Pineapple Boutique, from its former location in Heritage Square to 12670 Ind. 23, next to Yesterday’s Food and Spirits.

Limited foot traffic and not being able to come to a new lease agreement with Broad Reach Retail Partners, the management company that oversees Heritage Square, prompted the move, she said. She was also interested in working with a local landlord instead of a larger management company that operates out of state.
Noble purchased the boutique from former owner Kayzie Weedman in February 2020 and was quickly forced to pivot operations when the coronavirus prompted a shutdown a mere month later. During that time, she was able to keep things afloat by offering virtual fashion shows on Facebook, where she would model new merchandise and customers could add comments and order from there. Although things have normalized and in-person shopping has returned, the Monday night Facebook Live routine remains.
“Even once I was open and people could shop in store and we could get a little bit back to normal, people are still tuning in,” Noble said. “I call them my Pink Pineys because they’re like my family.”
Noble estimates more than half of her customer base comes from out of town, with regulars from Texas, Pennsylvania and Iowa chiming in every Monday night.
“That has been a huge source of actual joy and love for the business,” she said.
But in-store shopping remains strong, Noble said. Wanting to stay centrally located and near where she had been before, she settled on moving her business to a humble building across from Eddie’s Steak Shed. During the past month, she and some friends transformed the space with pink paint, girly touches and a warm welcome.
While the new location is technically smaller than her former location, more space is dedicated to customer merchandise. There, Noble is able to showcase youthful items that are brought in on a weekly basis like sweaters, tees, jewelry and new trends like shackets, which she said is like a combination shirt and jacket.
And as things began to fall into place at the new location, she started to feel at home.
“I had been praying about it and I feel like the timing with finding this space, it couldn’t have been more perfect,” she said. “I felt like it was meant to be, even in the little things. … Things that I brought over fit perfectly here and it felt like a sign that I made the right choice.”
Pink Pineapple Boutique is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
