The international spring/summer 2022 runway shows focused on big statement pieces, bold color, dramatic earrings, and piled on wide cuffs. Pieces had larger than life personality in oversized proportions. There were a few more delicate styles —when the chokers weren’t over the top, they were dainty and layered and there was a bohemian feeling for chic beads. Jewelry designers created many of the same trends in their studios but in more wearable and versatile sizes and styles. Similar looks could also be found in estate jewelry. But the main message was still all about being bold with your jewelry choices after seasons of wearing smaller pieces in Zoom meetings.

Here are some of the trends—how they were shown on the catwalk, created in the design studios and how they were previously interpreted in vintage jewelry:

Chain Gang-Wear one or two, wear them on your neck or your wrists. Wear them big and bold, with a sense of drama or to make a powerful statement.
